About the band:
Singer, and songwriter Sahala joins forces with Trees.R.Good [DJ] to bring a selection of tunes that shaped their childhood, cultural background and musical inspirations.
Whilst Trees.R.Good brings a hybrid DJ & Sax set with melodies from Greek rebetiko, Sahala sings and explores her roots through the musical career of her grandfather: Kwame Narh Kojo “George Lee” Larnyoh. As he toured with Louis Armstrong, recorded for Bob Marley and contributing to the rich musical landscape of Ghana and South Africa, he always spread a message of Love and Unity for the World. From Dub, Reggae to Afrobeat and Jazz, this night pays tribute to the ancestors that paved the way.
