Get ready for a night of vibrant festive energy as two outstanding bands take over Band on the Wall for a Latin Christmas Fiesta filled with rhythm, colour and unforgettable live music.
Da Lata returns to Manchester with its signature blend of Afro Brazilian grooves and London flair. Created by Chris Franck of Smoke City and DJ Patrick Forge, Da Lata has been shaping the sound of global fusion since 1997. Their breakthrough track Pra Manha led to a deal with Chris Blackwell’s Palm Pictures label and their acclaimed debut album Songs from the Tin. After touring Europe, the United States and Japan with a world class lineup, the group now steps into a new chapter with Edge of Blue, a 2025 release that weaves longing, struggle and hope into a rich tropical soundscape.
The celebration continues with Guacamaya Latin Band, a dynamic Manchester based group formed by musicians from South America, Britain and Spain. Their sound blends salsa, merengue, cumbia, Latin pop, reggae, bossa nova, rumba, son cubano and flamenco. Their energy on stage creates a warm and lively atmosphere that draws everyone onto the dancefloor and captures the spirit of Latin music.
When the live music ends the night keeps going. An after party in the bar will keep the rhythms flowing, so bring your dancing shoes and enjoy an evening of movement, music and festive Latin flair at this unique Christmas celebration.
