Driftwood Folk Collective presents Tesni + Grace Elizabeth Harvey + Jon Coley

Creating open and inclusive spaces for folk and acoustic musicians from all walks of life to come together, collaborate and share in Manchester.

Find out more about the 3 artists performing:

Tesni
Tesni is the solo project of Manchester-based Welsh singer-songwriter Eve Hancock. Through an introspective lens, Tesni crafts songs that intertwine stories of longing and sexuality with themes of nature and self-assurance. Her rich melodic and harmonic writing draws influence from folk-based artists such as Nick Drake, Adrianne Lenker, Rufus Wainwright, and Judee Sill.

Tesni recently released her latest single, ‘Nothing’s New Again’, a heartfelt exploration of vulnerability and openness. To celebrate the release, she headlined a show at Gullivers in Manchester, joined by her band: violinists Alana Howes and Marla Broadway, cellist Patrick Beare, and keyboard player Tomas Watkins.

Grace Elizabeth Harvey
Grace Elizabeth Harvey’s music hangs somewhere between the melancholy, the holy and the innocent. Writing about ‘folk and faith in tender conjunction’ (Wayzgoose), her debut EP, Other Faith (May 25), showcases the Merseyside based songstress in her whimsigothic world of intricate guitar and sweet, conversational vocals. Grace’s cello playing on the record, alongside restrained piano and harmonium, frame the songs, crystalline in their tenderness, sincerity and philosophical curiosity. Fresh from a partially sold-out national tour, Grace is quickly proving herself as one of the UK’s finest emerging songsmiths and a ‘new name to watch’ (FATEA), placing as a finalist in the 2025 Young Songwriter’s competition.

Jon Coley
Jon Coley is something of an underground figure in Manchester’s music scene. Combining soul and folk with intelligent original songwriting, and admired for his unique guitar playing (taking influence from performers such as Nick Drake, Bert Jansch, Wizz Jones and especially John Martyn) and for his passionate vocal performances, reminiscent of Van Morrison and Amos Lee.

Jon has played alongside John Renbourn, Blind Boy Paxton, Michael Chapman, Ralph McTell, Jon Gomm, Wizz Jones, Dylan LeBlanc, Chance McCoy and shared a stage and billing with many more, including Foss Patterson and Danny Thompson of John Martyn’s band at venues as varied as New York’s Bitter End Club, and Liverpool’s Echo Arena
