Bozi Boziana, a legend of Congolese Rumba and Soukous music, is set to perform in England after a 14-year hiatus, with concerts scheduled from late August to early September in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Luton. Bozi, the leader of the Anti-Choc Band, has previously toured the USA and is highly anticipated by fans in Europe. Known for his role in the iconic Zaiko Langa Langa-Nkolo Mboka Band, Bozi performed alongside stars like Papa Wemba and Evoloko Joker. His career includes stints with Isifi Lokole, Yoka Lokole, and Langa Langa Stars, where he collaborated with numerous renowned musicians.

Bozi’s influence extends across East, Central, and West Africa, particularly through the Anti-Choc band he formed in 1988. He has been a pioneer in encouraging female musicians, with notable collaborations with artists such as Fally Ipupa. Bozi’s popular songs include “La Reine de Sabah,” “Ba Bokilo,” and “Pere Noel Confiance,” with “La Reine de Sabah” being highly acclaimed in 1989. His recent collaboration with Fally Ipupa, “Black La Belle,” has expanded his reach to African countries like Angola, Congo Brazzaville, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, and Kenya.
